(Honestly, someone give this girl a hug.) Rhen struggles against the enchantress once more and Harper, as always, is caught smack-dab in the middle of it all. Grey spends time struggling against the people of Syhl Shallow who still distrust him and his magic. Lia Mara struggles to fill the role of Queen after her mother’s rule, and she often struggles to keep her own sister in line as well. I didn’t find myself struggling to read either POV, they were all written well. Kemmerer plays between all four main characters and their POVs. I was actually really interested to see how Kemmerer played this book, especially after dropping us with the cliffhanger that the enchantress never died and was still manipulating Rhen. So really, it was like jumping back into Emberfall, like I’d never even left. I finally finished the Cursebreakers series late Sunday night.Ī Vow So Bold and Deadly picks up right after A Heart So Fierce and Broken ends. WARNING: May contain mild to high spoilers of the previous Cursebreakers books, A Curse So Dark and Lonely and A Heart So Fierce and Broken.
