And yes, it has quite a bit of typos.Įven though I think the author's perspective as a homoromantic asexual is very important to have, I wouldn't recommend this book. Swinging between awkwardly worded and needlessly edgy, I just didn't have a good time with this. but it feels very much like 2010, in the worst way possible. The word "h*mo" is used several times as well, which is a slur the author can reclaim, but it's still thrown out there weirdly casually.Īlthough it attempts to be humorous, it's mostly just annoying to read. It also explains aromanticism wrong by saying it's a subsection of asexuality. Somehow it manages to be ableist against people with Down syndrome, physical disabilities or disfigurements, and mental health issues, and it's also kind of slut-shaming and body-shaming and cissexist. (I read this because it was free during my Kindle Unlimited trial)
